You may be the student-athlete that gets serious in the off season. If so, we welcome you to our 3,500 square foot fitness center located in the Marts Center. The center contains 22Â cardiovascular pieces including stairmasters, treadmills, bikes and elipticles. It also offers an extensive line of free weights, contains 15Â power stations and machines from Hammer Strength.
Not sure what to do or how to do it? No worries, former power lifting champion Keith Klahold has the workout for you. Klahold came to Wilkes University in August of 2003. His education includes a BS in athletic training from Slippery Rock University and a MS in human performance and injury prevention from California University of Pennsylvania. He holds certifications with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well as the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist.
Prior to Wilkes University Keith spent 5 years building and creating the Florida Atlantic University Strength and Conditioning Program as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. He has also been a avid powerlifter and during his competitive powerlifting career captured 8 National Powerlifting Championships and 3 World Championship titles. He also currently holds 6 World Records in powerlifting.
